Snug

Designer: Danny Duquemin-Sheil

Materials: various

Inherently a celebration of materials and surface finishes, this simple product consists of two duplicated shapes able to hold the two most common standard candle sizes.

The cross sectional profiles let the user playfully stack them in endless combinations, exploring what materials sit best with each other.

The initial runs will be various precision machined metals, hardwoods and plastics, as well as cast iron and concrete.

The design allows for continual expansion of the range, experimenting with as many materials and finishes as possible, such as glass and stone, galvanising and anodising. They will all stack together, with cork gaskets on the underside to protect the surface below.
