Operating below eye level doorstops are often literally overlooked. They are kicked around and left abandoned in the corners of our rooms when not in use and then wedged under or up against doors to perform their task.
Shown here are the responses of designers asked to explore the creation of a product that by name has one practical job to do.
Designers have responded to this challenge in a variety of ways, from making products that are elegant solutions to treating the chore of holding a door open as jumping off points to explore how objects sometimes offer more than what they are asked.
