Ebony Mallet
Designer: Will Baugh
Materials: Ebony and Brass
Known for its density and durability, ebony is widely used in the musical instrument industry for making components such as guitar fingerboards and bridges. The ebony used to make this mallet originates from sustainable sources in Cameroon, West Africa, where it is harvested and replanted to support the ecology and surrounding communities. The plywood construction of the mallet gives added stability whilst drawing attention to the beauty of ebony’s marbled grain colouration.
