Capital
Designer: Neil Conley
Materials: Glass, steel, brass
Manipulated individually from up to 4m of glass, each helix is worked by hand by expert lamp-workers in an original process developed for the Capital collection. Each glass coil is fixed mechanically to its frame by means of a delicate ‘collet’, leaving no requirement for adhesives in the production or assembly of the lamps. This flexibility in assembly allows for realistic production & distribution of such slender hand-made fixtures. Taking visual cue from Spatialism and sketches with ‘economy of line’, the lamps combine lean proportions with stark aesthetics.
Available in brass or painted black, the lamps can be supplied with a choice of clear, smoked or amber glass.
